Tori Lee Gautreaux of Vancleave arrested on charge of vehicle theft
Tori Lee Gautreaux of Vancleave was arrested by Ocean Springs Police Monday and transferred to the Jackson County Sheriff's Department on a charge of motor vehicle felony taking, authorities said Tuesday.
PASCAGOULA, Mississippi --- Tori Lee Gautreaux of Vancleave was arrested by Ocean Springs Police Monday and transferred to the Jackson County Sheriff's Department on a charge of motor vehicle felony taking, authorities said Tuesday.
On Feb. 9, a report was filed with the Sheriff's Department in reference to the theft of a 2011 Toyota Highlander from a residence on Dawnview Way in Helena, according to a news release from Sheriff Mike Byrd.
The victim believed the vehicle had been stolen by an acquaintance named Tori.
On Feb. 10, the vehicle was recovered in Gulfport by the Gulfport Police Department after a report of another vehicle theft, according to the news release.
After further investigation, sheriff's detective issued a warrant for Gautreaux, 33, of Old River Road Loop in Vancleave.
She is currently being held in the Jackson County Adult Detention Center, pending an initial appearance in Jackson County Court.
If convicted, Gautreaux could face up to $10,000 in fines and 10 years in prison.
